Unfortunately the 4th team have had an extremely unlucky season. Having drawn 3, won 2 and lost the rest, needless to say we ended up bottom. However our goal difference was nowhere near the worst in the league. We scored 22 goals throughout the season with Katie Davies ending up as top goal scorer with 6 goals.

Our best game this season was back in October against Surbiton, when the whole team played really well and we won 4 - 0. This brings us on to one of our comedy highlights. 5 minutes before the game is due to start we get a call from Lulu who is running late and lost (surprise surprise.) Mid conversation she tells us she has found a lovely random man who is going to escort her to the ground. When she finally arrived, we found out that the 'lovely random man' was actually Rachel's fiancée!!

All in all we have enjoyed playing this season, the team spirit has been high throughout and we look forward to next season!

The team voted for 'Most improved player' and Terri Brockman deservedly won this. The team also voted for 'Player of the Season'. Rachel and Katie both feel that this player has been consistent, reliable and played a strong role in our defence and it goes to Anne Marie Hobley.

The season of the ladies 3's has been one of ups and downs. We lost some players through injury early on, but luckily some of the 4's stepped up and have made great progress.

It has been a hard season and the standard of the other teams has been very high. We have played very well through out the season, which has lead to a variety of results, and our main achievement is we have managed to stay in the same division.

One of the funniest moments during the season was when the opposition had a very enthusiastic goal keeper who managed to take out two of our players during the match, luckily both survived un-hurt.

The team all voted and this year's player of the season is Charlie Bolam.

We have had a mixed season both in terms of results and team stability.

The season has felt quite disjointed and as a result we never seem to have really got going.

That said there have been some cracking results and performances and we find ourselves safely mid table in Division 2.

We have welcomed newbies Jenny Woolston and Blossom Byfield to the club and seen the return of Camilla in goal and we wish Ciara Williams well for her forthcoming wedding.

I thank everyone who has umpired for us and the countless who have played for us throughout the season. A total of 26 individuals have been nominated for player of the match and many many more have played their part which has made the final vote quite close.

Our player of the season is Ali Pitcher.

Ladies 1st XI report

The Ladies first team have set a truly fantastic standard to beat this season! We have finished a clear 2nd position in the Surrey Prem, which is our highest ever placing in the history of the Ladies section.

Unbeaten since 5th December the second half of the season has seen us score 24 goals and concede just 8, which has resulted in us having the equal best defensive record in the league.

There have been some brilliant team efforts, with quality hockey all over the pitch and some quality socialising off the pitch!

We have picked up Bloss Byfield in midfield and seen Lottie Colquhoun and Bex Rayson securing more and more appearances in the 1st XI squad. A huge thank you to Lizzie Shepperson for rejoining us in her work placement year and travelling almost every week to train hard from living in London.

We also welcomed back old favourite Corinne Daniel, only to lose her @ Surbiton due to an ankle injury. Thank you Reenie for your continuous support and wise words from the sideline. Coaching has gone from strength to strength and our tactical game has improved this season due to the hard efforts of both Jonesy and Robbo, so massive thanks to them.

Player of the season goes to a lady who has a great work ethic on the pitch, a strong team player and has greatly improved in confidence this year. She is also known for the change in volume of her voice off the pitch:- Nicky Chapman
